Deccan Chamber of Commerce Industries & Agriculture (DCCIA), in association with World Trade Centre (WTC) Pune, organised a workshop on “Cyber Crime – Cyber Fraud” at World Trade Centre Pune on 25th April 2019. The Speakers included senior Officers from Cyber Cell – Pune Police namely Ms. Radhika Phadke – Head of Department of Cyber Cell Pune , Mr Jayram Paigude – Senior Police Inspector Mr Sagar Panmand – Assistant Police Inspector as well as other experts from legal and Cyber Security field namely Advocate . Rajesh Pingle, Advocate Jayashree Nangare and Mr.Yogesh Thanage. Mrs Radhika Phadke, in her address, said that Technology is not only a doorway for development but It also involves risk like hacking and terrorism about which we all must take care. Pune Police Cyber Crime Cell handled over 6000 cases of cyber crime during last year and this year we are already having over 3000 cases which is alarming, she added. Mr Sagar Panmand, in his presentation, cited numerous cases of cyber frauds and how these frauds could have been prevented if the victims had exercised a bit of care and common sense. Advocate Rajesh Pingle spoke about the new Private Data Security Act. Cyber Expert Mr Yogesh explained with live demos as to how the mobile phones and emails could be hacked by criminals if the caution is not exercised by users. Advocate Jayashree Nangare, in her closing address, gave a perspective of the cyber frauds to which corporate world was exposed to and gave useful tips on safeguarding against such frauds.
Mr.H.P Srivastava ,Vice Chairman, DCCIA, in his welcome address highlighted about the increasing threat of cyber frauds in Exports and Imports transactions and how such workshop/ seminars could immensely help in bringing awareness to corporate world and general public at large.

Deccan Chamber of Commerce Industries & Agriculture (DCCIA) organised a workshop and a Panel discussions on THE IMPACT OF LATEST JUDGEMENT OF SUPREME COURT ON SALARY COMPONENTS FOR PF CONTRIBUTION . The venue was Essar Steels Ltd, Nagar Road, Pune. Mr Atul Kotakar – Region Provident Fund Commissioner – Pune also addressed the participants and was one of the panellist. The team of legal experts and panellist comprised of Advocate .Aditya Joshi, Advocate Jayant Kulkarni ,Advocate Mukund Kulkarni and Advocate V.A Kulkarni. The legal experts and RPF Pune gave their views on the following aspects of the judgment:-
- Impact of judgment- prospective/ retrospective
- Salary components to be considered for PF contribution
- Splitting of Wages
Mr Atul Kotakar – RPF Pune also gave his views regarding the higher pension under EPS Scheme where contribution exceeding statutory limit was made by Employer and Employee in view of the Judgment of Kerala High Court which was upheld by Supreme Court.
Advocate Mukund Kulkarni also covered the amendment to Factories Act and Rules regarding registration for factories engaged in Hazardous process.
Mr Mukund Jagirdar – Chairman – DCCIA H.R committee moderated the workshop and panel discussion. On this occasion, Advocate Aditya Joshi was also felicitated on being elected as the President of LLPA – Pune .

sports in India“. Keeping this in mind DCCIA started the DCCIA Corporate
cricket league in the year 2017 .The aim of the tournament was to inculcate
the importance of a healthy lifestyle and Adding a pinch of excitement to
the stressful corporate lives by bringing together professionals from
different work spaces, enabling them to display their cricketing talent and
have extraordinary fun.
Twelve Companies from our member industries participated in the DCCIA
Corporate Cricket League 2019 which was held at Netaji Subhash
Chandra Military school on the 22nd,23rd and 24th of March 2019.
The event was inaugurated on 22nd March 2019 by Mr Prakash Dhoka –
Chairman DCCIA, Mr Surinder Aggarwal – Treasurer DCCIA and Mr
Kamlesh Panchal – Member EC.
After three days of exciting cricket – The team from Classing Auto Tubes,
nicknamed [Classic Players] lifted the Winners Cup in a nail biting final with
team from RSB Transmission nicknamed [RSB Challengers] who were the
first Runner Up.
Chemetall BASF nicknamed [Chemetall Strikers] were the 2nd Runner up
after defeating [ IMP Defenders ] in a match of loosing semi-finalist.
Mr Harvinder of RSB Transmission was declared the ‘Man of the Series”
and also the Best Batsman. While Mr Meghraj Daipode of Classic Auto
Tubes was declared “Man of the Match”, Mr Prakash Rajguru was declared
the ‘Best Bowler’.
Mr HP Srivastava – Vice Chairman, DCCIA gave away the prizes in closing
ceremony held on 24th March 19. Ms Sandhya Kanakiya – GM DCCIA and
her team of Mr Ritesh Kashid and Mr Sagar Dilip Jagdale coordinated the
event and made all arrangements.

Mr. H.P Shrivastava – Vice chairman DCCIA Pune welcomed Mr. V Seshagiri Rao, who took over as new Chief Commissioner of Customs and Central Tax, at GST house. Chamber has fond memories of its interaction with Mr Rao during his earlier stint as commissioner of Customs Pune.
DCCIA’s 17th Annual Award Function
Pune, September 28, 2018: “It is necessary to change the mindset of the other people of the country to look at the northeast India. Successful entrepreneurs should take the lead in providing opportunity to the northeast Indians who are waiting for the opportunity,” expressed Padmanabha Acharya, Governor of Nagaland during an event held in the city.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many things are changing in the northeast India and its moving towards development. Entrepreneurs must come to northeast in the spirit of atonement and not with commercial motto to help the development, appealed Acharya while talking at 17th Annual Award Function 2018′ of Deccan Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture’ (DCCIA), Pune organized recently.
Acharya conferred upon “DCCIA Lifetime Achievement Award’ to Om Prakash Agarwal Chairman Prakash corrugated Ltd and “DCCIA Award for Excellence – Best Industrialist 2018” to L.C. Singh, Executive Vice Chairman, Nihilent Technologies. Earlier Mr Prakash Dhoka, Chairman DCCIA and Mr H.P Srivastava, Vice Chairman DCCIA in their joint address highlighted the journey of Chamber during last 25 years and shared their vision for coming years.
On this occasion DCCIA Awards were also conferred on John Deere India Pvt Ltd for ‘Best Human Resource Practices’ and to Foseco India Ltd for ‘Best Security Practice’.
Acharya further stated, “People who make wealth by making spectacular progress in the industrial field should be proud of themselves. But we should not forget that we have to also give back something our country. Northeast India is rich in natural resources and also has good universities. The industrialists should set up their own branches of industries in the North-Eastern states and also help northeast Indian students to pursue education.”

Open house session on GST & IGST with Shri Mahendra Singh, Member GST, CBEC, New Delhi, Shri Yogendra Garg, ADG, DGGST, New Delhi accompanied by the officials from Directorate General of GST, Tax Research Unit, GST Policy Wing of CBEC and GSTN and by Commissioner / Additional Commissioner, SGST, Maharashtra State on the 16th of March 2018.
Deccan Chamber of Commerce Industries & Agriculture (DCCIA) had organised an interactive meeting between member industries and Mr Suvez Haque – Superintendent of Police (Pune Rural). The meeting was also attended by Ms Tejaswi Satpute – Addl SP & Dr Sandeep Pakhale-Addl SP Baramati besides other high officials of Police Department (Pune Rural). Mr Prakash Dhoka – Chairman – DCCIA gave welcome address and Mr HP Srivastava – Vice Chairman DCCIA proposed a vote of thanks. Mr Mukund Jagirdar – Chairman – HR Committee DCCIA and Dr Pandit Palande – Former VC Bihar University also addressed the gathering. In his key note address, Mr Suvez Haque replied to various issues. He advised the Industries to not to hesitate in lodging a FIR whenever there is an untoward incident. Even though we have constraints of limited Police Force, in case of any threat which may disrupt law and order we will provide Police men, he added. He also advised Chamber to keep such interaction at regular intervals.
MOU Between World Trade Centre and DCCIA -Considering the Traditional links of friendship ,mutual interest and benefits of strengthening Co operation between World Trade Centre and Deccan Chamber of Commerce ,both parties have entered into Memorandum of Association (Mou) on the 27th of April 2018 to co operate with each other in Facilitating Mutual investments and Foreign Trade.
