Mr. Hari P Srivastava has been heading the Human Resource & Commercial Departments of Oriental Rubber Industries Limited since last over two decades.He is also heading the South Africa operations of the Company where it has set up a manufacturing unit.
ORIENTAL RUBBER INDUSTRIES LIMITED is a Pune based company which has earned a good name for itself in the International market and presently more than 70% of its total turnover comes from Exports. About five years ago, their second unit has been commissioned as an 100% EOU. They are the largest manufacturer of Textile reinforced CONVEYOR BELTS in India. Oriental Rubber Industries Ltd. is also an ISO 9001- 2008 company and a Govt. recognized “TRADING HOUSE”. In the last fiscal 2014-15, they achieved a turnover of around Rs 330 Crores. They aim to achieve a turnover of Rs 500 Crores in next two to three years.
Mr. Srivastava holds a brilliant academic record. He did his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Pune University MBA Programme centre (PUMBA), standing 9th in the merit list of Pune University. Before doing his MBA he did his LLB and Diploma in Labour Laws and Labour Welfare both from University of Pune. While he secured 1st Division and 3rd rank in Pune University in LLB, he topped the University in DLL & LW exams.
Before joining ORIENTAL RUBBER, Mr. Srivastava had a short stint with the technical Cadre of Indian Air Force from where he completed his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He also had a brief tenure in Bank of Baroda as “Specialist Officer”.
Mr Srivastava has widely traveled to various countries such as USA, Australia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Netherland, South Africa, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau and Vietnam etc in connection with the business of his Company as well as for pleasure.
Mr. Srivastava is also the Vice Chairman of “Deccan Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture Ltd”, a reputed Trade Chamber of Pune which has about 200 industries, located in and around Pune, as its members. He is also the immediate past“Chairman” of “Export Promotion Council for SEZ and EOUs (WR)” under Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Besides, he also represents the Chamber as an active member of “Permanent Trade Facilitation Committee – Pune Customs”, & “Public Grievance Committee & RAC of Customs and Central Excise Commissionerate - Pune ”.
Mr. Srivastava enjoys teaching. He is regularly invited as a guest faculty by various reputed Management Institutes of Pune. He is also invited as a speaker in various seminars/workshop conducted by reputed professional bodies.
Mr. Srivastava writes on matters pertaining to Exim Policy, Customs and Excise. His articles are regularly published in “Excise Law Times”, a reputed fortnightly on Customs, Excise, Imports & Exports.
